The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for leading the design and documentation of interior environments across commercial projects in ADM Group’s core markets. This role requires strong conceptual design skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while mentoring team members and managing project responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the project manager and/or director to understand project objectives. • Lead all phases of the design process including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. • Develop interior design concepts including space planning, finish palettes, and FF&E selections. • Produce and oversee construction drawings, details, and specifications for interior design projects. • Support the creation of renderings and visualizations to communicate design intent. • Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and team members to ensure design continuity throughout the project. • Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to ensure alignment with design intent and project requirements. • Participate in construction administration activities including site visits and coordination during construction. • Mentor and provide guidance to intermediate and junior interior designers.
Qualifications
We are looking for an individual that has experience with commercial markets including but not limited to Education, Commercial Office, and Aviation. Our clients mandate very short timeframes for production, therefore candidates must be able to succeed in a fast-paced office environment and manage details for multiple projects simultaneously.
• 8–12 years of experience in interior design with a focus on commercial projects. • Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program preferred. • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required. • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, Enscape, or Lumion preferred. • Strong understanding of construction documentation, interior detailing, and FF&E coordination. • Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and materials. • NCIDQ certification required. • LEED Accreditation preferred. • Demonstrated leadership with project teams, including mentoring other employees. • Strong attention to detail and good communication and organizational skills.
