Phoenix Union High School District
Phoenix, Arizona
The Academies at Trevor G. Browne High School is a new 24,800 SF building to house key programs for the recently implemented Academy pathways. This is a two-story building and features classrooms for engineering, sports medicine, AI, and a dental classroom with clinic. The clinic will have a dual use to serve the community during special events. The new building, which also includes a new administration office, will serve as the new ‘front door’ to the campus as the existing front of the school is hidden behind a commercial retail complex. Along with the relocation of the front administration office will be the reconfiguration of the sports fields and student and staff parking. A new baseball and softball sports complex including restroom, concessions, LED lights at the varsity fields, and dugouts will be constructed on the south side of the campus. On the north side, parking and vehicle circulation has been reworked to facilitate student drop off and pickup and align the main student entry with the front entrance of the campus. White fleet parking will be moved to the south of the campus and a new area for electric buses and associated charging will added to one of the existing south campus parking lots. The final piece of this project is the 11,800 SF renovation of the existing IMC into a new student union area with coffee bar and a new media center.
